Rabbit Day is Saturday, February 28, 2015

February is "Adopt a Rescued Rabbit Month" and you're invited to celebrate with us at our eighth annual "Rabbit Day" at AniMall on Saturday, February 28, 2015 from 10 am to 4 pm.

House rabbits are as mysterious as they are adorable; so this year's Rabbit Day celebrates that mystery with a bunny tribute to "film noir."

With a twitch of a nose, a thump of a foot, or a hop-skip-and-jump, house rabbits provide the answers to many of life's puzzles:

  • What does cardboard taste like?
  • Why are bunny jumps called "binkies?"
  • How easy it is to litterbox train a rabbit?

Rabbits make great house pets, but like any other animal their owners need to be prepared to accommodate their unique needs. Don't know what those needs are? That's why we're here!

Rabbit Day Activities Include:

  • Games for kids, including story time, making rabbit toys from recycled materials, and more
  • Craft Fair
  • Clicker training
  • Bonding workshop
  • Bunny nail trims
  • Make Mine Chocolate!

This educational event celebrates the unique characteristics of the house rabbit, while also providing education about what to look for, how to prepare, and how to enjoy a rabbit as a member of your family.

We'll discuss topics like:
  • Is a pet rabbit right for me?
  • Caring for an indoor pet rabbit
  • Rabbit diet tips
  • The right rabbit housing
  • Choosing toys for your rabbit
  • Litterbox training
  • Pet health insurance for rabbits
  • What to feed your rabbit
  • Grooming tips
  • Finding a local veterinarian
  • Clicker training your rabbit
  • Spaying/neutering a rabbit – is it necessary?
